anglers workshop blanks

i am building a float rod and i was thinking of using a anglers workshop sh106m2. i have never built on there blanks before. could anyone let me know about the quality of these blanks. also any info. on there warranty. thanks don

The Angler's Workshop blanks are Talon IM-6 blanks and if you've been in Canada you have seen at lot of Talon float and drift rods. Can't remember what the warranty is, but it might be on the Talon site. talon-graphite.com I think. Also get with the Angler's people for info. Unless they've changed the color the blanks are rootbeer.

Talon has actually been around a long time - they just don't market themselves to custom builders very well. They are, in fact, the last in the long line of companies going back to the original Loomis Composites Inc.

I had a chance to talk a little to Dwight Waggoner, president of Talon, when he'd been in Moscow back in December. He said that Angler's Workshop blanks are not manufactured by Talon anymore.
