Some days ago I received an e-mail asking for information regarding a post I published some months ago. It was about building a 13 or 14 ft surfcasting rod to cast 3 to 4 oz.
I unfortunately dragged this message to the wrong folder and I lost it, so I cannot reply. Here it's what I fonded out about this rod. Unfortunatelly, I could not build it because my custoner didn't get in touch again. The blank coul be from Purglass or from Rainshadow. If you need refferences I'll look for them. Of course I don't know if action, weight, diameters,,, would match standar ones in Europe, as I couldn't see the blanks. But I think there cannot be much differences. Regarding grips, I thought in using a cork tape one as it was going to be used in "casting style". For spinnig reel, I would try a plate reel seat wrapped to the cork tape grip. That's all I can explain, as other details like guides or spacing could not be determined. If you nned more information, please send me an e-mail.
