i want to build another rod for surf, river and striper fishing. i am cinsidering a 10' ft sciv rod but cant' decide if I want a 7wt or 8wt. I own a rplx7 wt and a 9 wt. rplx and want something a little longer for the surf. Also considered a spey rod of @ 13ft. Any thoughts or advice appreciated. Re: !0 ' St. Croix rod

Bill,
R.B. Meiser (Bob) has some spey blanks that do well in the surf. More important beside the good blank values, is that he also has a good feel for the lines and head systems that maximize their abilities, saves lots of time and money. He has a lot of experience and blanks also for switch rods. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
