Many of the sponsors have great blanks to choose from and Dan Craft has a line of FT's that are thought of
very highly by many on this board! Raymond Adams Eventually, all things merge, and a river runs through it.. Re: Fast action blanks

Dan Craft FT is the way to go for what you describe. Re: Fast action blanks

Dan Craft FT. You will be very pleased. I am building FT's to replace the three-piece rods I have taken to Baja. They are excellent casting tools, are rugged and, most importantly, have the backbone to handle saltwater fish. A note of caution. If you intend to fish for dorado from a panga, build a 12 weight FT. Make that two. The 8 is great from the beach , but take 10 and 12 weight rods on the boat. I only take 12 weights out now. One loaded with a floater, one with an intermediate and one with a TS-650. If you hook up with a smaller dorado you can horse it in faster. It can be frustrating to watch you buddies fighting bigger fish while you are hooked up with a dink that makes your 8 weight feel like a 4. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
