I got some of those irredescent fish decals from Jann's Netcraft and am about to try to put one on a rod. All I got was the decal...no instructions. How do I do it ? Is this thing a peel & stick? Doesn't look like a waterslide....looks like a cloth backing....Does it need CP? Any special tricks I need to know? Thanks in advance..

Most likely, it's 3 layers. Remove the first (Bottom) layer, burnish to the area. Then remove the clear top layer. I'd recommend using CP or a fixative over the top of this type decal. I've had a few lift or curl on me when applying finish to them.

Yes peel & stick. As Putter already said, you take the backing off first. Place the sticker in the desired area and burnish on. Put it where you want it to begin with...these things stick tight. After burnishing well you peel the top clear layer off leaving only the decal on the blank. The normal recomendation is to use a blow dryer to finish the seal. Luckily I've never had epoxy lift one from the blank.
