Just curious if you have tried, seen, or just have an opinion on not puting on a forgrip. Seriously.....
I am making a new bumper spiral inshore rod and it ran into my head what if I didn't use a forgrip... If you guys have any comments or experience in this I would appreciate it....Just something I thought I would toss out there for y'all to chew on.... Thanks for your help in advance! Hi Jeff,
I don't put on a foregrip on or a very short little bullet shaped one on UL spinning rods, some baitcast rods. You don't need one because your hands don't grab the rod in that area. If the foregrip won't be used to fight fish with, then don't put one on. It's just added weight with no advantages. Re: Your Opinion Forgrip Question

I just posted a picture of a popping rod that will be primarily use inshore. I just used 1 ring of cork to act pretty much a hosel. I prefer this set-up. I don't use a foregrip to fight the fish this rod is going to be used for - Reds, Specks, etc - so I leave it off to save the weight. Re: Your Opinion Forgrip Question

Hi Jeffrey,
I'm also an advocate of the "no fore grip" set up for most rods I build. Here's a link to one I posted on the photo page. Take a look! [www.rodbuilding.org] Raymond Adams Eventually, all things merge, and a river runs through it.. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
