On those small wraps at the end of the rod, when finished, the first cross over thread, where you start the wrap, is really higher then the rest of the wrap. Is this the norm. Its hard to hide. Is this something that is burnished away? Tom Re: Wrap question

good question. or at least one i've had in the back of my mind. i try to pull that first starting tag end tight to help minimize it but maybe there's a more efficient solution. anyone?

I've found a litte extra tread tension helps minimize that. Another trick is to tape your trim wrap thread down and wrap the main color
over it effectively anchoring that end with the main thread. Then you will only have 1 end to anchor to finnish the band and allows for making thinner bands as well. Raymond Adams Eventually, all things merge, and a river runs through it.. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
