Wrap question

On those small wraps at the end of the rod, when finished, the first cross over thread, where you start the wrap, is really higher then the rest of the wrap. Is this the norm. Its hard to hide. Is this something that is burnished away? Tom

I've found a litte extra tread tension helps minimize that. Another trick is to tape your trim wrap thread down and wrap the main color
over it effectively anchoring that end with the main thread. Then you will only have 1 end to anchor to finnish the band and allows for
making thinner bands as well.

Eventually, all things merge, and a river runs through it..
