I need to replace the Furrells for a 2/2 8 1/2' H-I I figure about a 6 weight or maybe a 5 weight . Living in a remote area I was hoping to order them on line . But don't know what size or where to measure from. Thanks Paul Re: Furrell sizes

Sounds like a bamboo rod? If so drop Russ at GoldenWitch (on left) an email or phone him. Re: Furrell sizes

Paul;
If the female ferrules look like straight tubes then you can just measure the outside of the slide part of the males with a micrometer or dial caliper, then convert that number to 64ths of an inch. I would check with www.ricksrods.com in Denver, Rick has a large supply of NOS ferrules from the old days. john Re: Furrell sizes

H-I rods used step down ferrules. Paul, if you know what model the rod is, talk to the folks at Golden Witch, they should have a set of step downs that will work for you. Rick is another good supplier too. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
