Was lookin through the archives seen doc recomend using this thread on small blanks for weaving I had never heard of it did a search came up with embroidery thread is this right or is it another kind of thread?do you need to finish it any differently?

It is a polyneon embroidery thread. I build mostly flyrods and have gone to the Madeira # 40 for my guides wraps with good results . I have used the #60 on occasion to shrink down some of my weaves , the biggest drawback is you don't have as large of a color selection as the #40.
Using the Madeira thread does require that you put on a coat or two of cp to avoid the dreaded "fisheyes"

I've been messing with the 60wt on butt wraps myself. Mostly as detail, or to try to make a different effect combining with 40wt. I will do at least one wrap on a tiny blank with all 60wt. As Dennis said, the color selection is limited, so the more people who order it and ask why this color isn't available in 60wt, the quicker they will come out with it.
