Topic: Roger Seiders is recuperating!
For those of you who may be unaware of Roger Seider’s (owner of Flex Coat) bicycle accident after Christmas, he is recuperating, but it will be awhile before he can be back to all his pursuits. The best way to describe the accident is to use Roger’s own words - “ I was hurt as badly as you can be hurt on a bicycle without sustaining a head or spinal cord injury.†Usually Roger rides his bicycle 50 miles per week in and around Austin, Texas. On Friday, December 30th, near the end of his ride he was traveling downhill about 25 mph, and his front tire went flat causing him to lose control of the bike. He sustained a fractured collarbone, three fractured ribs, and his femur was shoved into his pelvis fracturing it as well. To those of you who may have been trying to reach Roger, please know he will try to return calls as soon as he is able, and we hope everyone understands why there has been such a delay in getting back with people. Also, unfortunately, as much as Roger looked forward to attending the National Rod Builder’s Show in Charlotte, North Carolina in February, he will be unable to travel by that time due to his injuries. He wants everyone to know that even though he can’t attend this year, he’s committed as ever to the rod builder and to the growth of the National Rod Builder’s Show. My wishes for a speed and complete recovery are offered sincerely. I really thought his undoing would occur in one of his skinny water bay boats at 60 mph!
No telling what will come up in his mind while he is forced to sit quietly. Maybe someone can get him to start using the computer! On second thought that is probably a bad idea - the world does not need another Gates! Bill Stevens Re: Roger Seiders is recuperating!

John,
Please let Roger know that he's in our thoughts & prayers and we wish him the best for a speedy recovery. Deep down I think this is why Colleen makes me drive a truck, even though she SAYS it's because of the way I look in my cycling shorts. Seriously though, tell him just to get better and don't let him near that shop 'till the Doc says he's ready! Hi John
Thank you for posting. I believe I have met Roger a couple times at the Fred Hall Show in the past and have always been a staunch supporter and user of his products. Please forward my wishes to him for a speedy and full recovery. I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers. By the sheer volume of his injuries I am sure he will face some hard days with therapists and should know we all are there in spirit to cheer him on. DOC SKI Re: Roger Seiders is recuperating!

Knowing Roger, being layed up is probably worse than the pain he endured from his accident. Believe me, his brain will be working overtime. Here is praying for a speedy recovery. Re: Roger Seiders is recuperating!
