Do any of you know a source for purchasing the cork grip/reelseat combo with the rings similar to what Orvis puts on their Superfine 2 and 3 weights? I know Natcraft has a similar product that is 10 inches in total length, but the one on the orvis rods are 9 inches in length. I'm building some little 2-3 weights and like those all cork handles/reelseat with the rings-p- Re: Superfine cork grip/reelseat

Jann's netcraft has the grip and reelseat combo. I think it is $9 and they are good quality too. Re: Superfine cork grip/reelseat

You can just shorten up the Jann's, Struble, or the Wiebe that Custom Tackle has to whatever length you want and after hitting it with some sandpaper, never know the difference. You should be able to take a little off the reelseat length, and remove some off the grip on whichever end makes the rod most comfortable and balanced in your hand. I usually take some off the back of the grip on the shorter or lighter rods, as they seem more comfortable to me with my hand closer to the reel. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
