Question on Forhan Lock Wrap

I am doing my set of single foot fly guides on a heavier weight rod (7 wt. fly rod) and have a question about the Forhan locking wraps. I read through the article in the library. I am a touch confused on how to do this. I see you put one blocking wrap behind the guide. Then you go around the guide 360 for a lock wrap. Do you then go around the blank before doing the second lock wrap? Or, do you simply wrap the thread around the guide 3 full times (i.e. 3 - 360 degree turns around leg) before wrapping the thread around the blank again?
The picture looks like you do three wraps around the guide before going back around the blank. But step #2 seems to indicate that you wrap around the guide, then "wrapped as normal around the blank," and then doing this 2 more times. Also, once this wrap is in place, is there much chance for moving the guide for positioning, or do you have to have them super close before wrapping up on it? Thanks in advance for any help. Jason,
Think figure 8. Up and around the guide, then down and around the rod. Do this three times: and start before the vertical section of the guide by two or three thread wraps, then do two or three blocking wraps after the guide. There you have it. As far as moving them afterwords, a little tough. Better to get them lined up before the locking wrap. Good luck to you. Any further problems, just ask. Fred Crum Dixon, Ca. Around the guide leg, then around the blank. Repeat 3 times. 1 more blocking wrap after that and you're done.

Tom has got it.
And I find that I can move my guides around after the loking wraps have been used. Did it yesterday, in fact. Keith Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
