How do you find the spine on the butt section of a two piece spinning rod? Re: spine

The same way to find the spine on any blank. One, two, three piece, whatever. Some butt sections are tougher, because they can be very stiff and don't bend much. I plan to build a flippin' stick soon, and I would like to know how to spine the short, telescopic butt section. I would imagine that it has nearly zero flex to it. Butt all and all, it's the same methods, but can be a little tougher to find. Re: spine

Check out the FAQs page for what to do if you simply can't find the spine on any really short, stiff section. Phil has given you about all anyone can in regards to this, but on occasion you run into a section that is just too short and/or too stiff. ..................
