For all you Dremel-type tool owners, I just posted a pic of a VERY useful stand that convers it to a vertical Drill press or as a horizontal setup that is great for a guide prep station

Mike - that looks pretty interesting. I wonder if it would work with my Black and Decker Wizard. Most other Dremel acc. do. That would make guide prepping a lot easier.
I like that sign in the background about only having two also!

Mine is a Craftsman and it fits fine! Here is where it's available [www.amazon.com] Pretty sturdy wellbuilt unit. Very versatile Got it for Christmas! Saw it mentioned here and dropped a bug (and URL) in the boss's ear!

It looks neat, but if grinding guide feet is your primary use for this keep in mind that for $5 more you can get a belt sander that will grind guide feet far more quickly and easily than a dremel. These were on sale a few months ago for $30. I bought one, and I will never consider grinding guide feet a chore again.

Those dremel stands work great. I bought one off @#$%& for about $20 plus shipping before Christmas. Also, I'm really happy with my dremel tool. It's slick and quick.

Gee, Mike! I hate to tell you this but they have them used on @#$%& for as low as $15 plus shipping. Just type in Dremel stand.

Putter- I'm using the 120 grit belts. Works perfectly. I've done maybe 100 guides including some heavy roller guides and I'm still on my first belt.

I have a belt sander but much prefer the Dremel stand for it versatility. I think that it does a much better, quicker job as I can chane grits, tools, etc in minutes and can use it mounted vertically as a small drill press, router, etc. or horizontally as a grinder, buffer, cut off tool, etc. The Dremel is also variable speed and can go 1,000's of rpm's.

Bruce, I won't tell my daughter that! She bought it for me for Christmas. I love it! I think that it adds a whole new dimension to the tool!
