For the do-it-yourselfer's that have built their own weaving jigs, what is the best type of foam to use for securing the thread, any thought on where to purchase, etc...

Hi Bret
I use Orthopedic shoe sole material. I buy mine directly from the factory but most cant do that because of the minimum. I would try a medical werehouse or orthopedic supply house. I also think that EVA foam(used for inlaying) was used and that was available from Rod Crafters. Check the sponsors. If you cant find it then email me and I will see if I can help you. for my weave looms I use eva foam I bought from Mudhole, I cut it to size with a small band saw then trim it with a razor knife, it works great, I have some in my looms I've used for years Re: Foam for Weaving Jigs

Doc and Jim,
Thanks for the quick expert advise. I need to order some supplies so I think I'll just add some eva to the list. Wish me luck on my near future endeavor into weaving. Regards.....Bret Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
