I think the list of "what will not be available" would be much shorter. I can't think of anything that I could not find last year (except a 'lighly used Renzetti'). Re: Rod show

I'd be willing to bet that if there's something specific you're looking for and posted it here one (or more) of the advertisers/supporters would have it on hand at the show. I think I remember a post (string of posts) to that effect as well. Heck last year you could assemble rods just walking down the aisle. Batson had a huge array of blanks as did MudHole and Custom Tackle Supply, Andy Dear had enough cork to refloat the Titanic. About the only thing I don't remember seeing were a wide selection of threads - but I wasn't looking for any either so they too were probably there and I just don' t remember them. Re: Rod show

I know one thing that wasn't there last year; magnifying headbands. Mine went back to Italy with Italo Busi. He couldn't find one anywhere and wanted to take one home with him. I had to order another after returning home. Putter Williston, ND Re: Rod show

This is the current list of vendors and manufacturers who will be on hand. You should expect the manufacturers to all have an extensive selection of their products and the dealers to have a ton of product for sale - often with a bunch of special deals available. Will they have every single item made or sold for rod building? Well, probably not - that would be a pretty tall order. But I'm comfortable in saying that there will be more rod building products in this one place and at one time than anywhere else on earth.

There's nothing like this Show for rodbuilders. It's hard to believe all that "stuff" could be there. Too much to take in in 2 days! Stan Re: Rod show

From a coupla posts back , Myles - you still owe me directions to your mum's house from Bondai beach...
And although the "Swampland boys" refuse to haul in mud-bugs to Charlotte I''ve been told that they will have some Creole-Cajun delights "fum don dere in de swumps" ... I guess I'll have to find a source for a little 'shine or 'lightning' on the way down... I was going to come down 85 but looks like I may have to traverse 81 and the "hill country" past the Munich Rod Man's domain.... Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/03/2006 06:27AM by Ken Preston.
