Michael,
I just use a thin strip of masking tape enough to keep the gimbal centered around the blank. I score the inside of the gimbal and tape and glue it up with Rod Bond. I've never had one loosen yet. Randy.

I don't install many gimbals, but when I do I turn the handle on a Grizz
ly hobby lathe. So while I have the handle on the lathe I turn the handle
material down enough to take the gimbal. This way the gimbal becomes
part of the handle. Be sure that your handle material is measured long
enough to accept gimbal and not be too short.
