Low Light Visibility

I'm building some ice rods for a guy who likes to have a bright tip on the rod. Some of the factory rods out there have an orange tip on them. But I was thinking to myself, maybe there might be a thread or a dye (like used in marbleing) that might glow in the dark - similar concept to glow jigs where you charge them with an LED light or camera flash. Making any sense?

Anywho, on to the question. Does anyone know of a thread or a dye that would glow in the dark once charged? Yellow, orange, green, whatever would do. I just thought it might be a cool way to go.

Thanks.

Try this as a start.

Then look at the Uni products in the flytying arena for chargable thread

This stuff works great [www.readysetglo.com] Add the powder to some epoxy finish and put it on. For good results you need to paint the area white (or use white tinted epoxy) first

Raymond, be sure you read all the info as the various colors have different properties as far as brightness and length of illumination! Cool stuff, though

Merrick Tackle also sells thread that you charge with a flashlight.
