blank choice?

I have a friend on another casting forum who is looking for blank reccomendations and was wondering if you could help?
This is the post he submitted:-

I would like to find a rod or blank with simular action as the Scott G series in a 10' - 10.5', 6 or 7 wt. (Scott no longer makes G's that long in said weights)

Something in a IM6 type blank, etc. may work. I really like the butt sections and tips on the G's. Have only wagled Loomis GL 3's may work ? Others ?

I want something with a soft tip for tippets, butt for 10 pound fish. Single hand spey, roll cast's etc. on smaller streams for Steelhead. Cast's are close to medium. Nymphing, soft hackles and streamers.

It does not have to be a "big name" blank. There are a lot of blanks out there used by custom rod makers. The action is key. A local rod builder pal, will wrap/ build to my specs if not available in factory to my likeing.

Thanks all.............

Any suggestions on medium action blanks for my friend?

A Batson Rainshadow RX7 is available in 10', 3 piece and St Croix makes an SCIII in 10', 4 piece to name a couple that would meet your criteria.

Daniel,
Stan beat me to it, the Rainshadow RX7 seems similar to the Scott to me and some other steelheaders I've make rods for.
