Mixing Rod Smith @ Flex Coat

Hi,
What would happen if one was to run out of Rod Smith in the middle of build and i had some Flex Coat ? Would there be any kind problem with this? thank you Marcel Re: Mixing Rod Smith @ Flex Coat

Putting it on top of the RodSmith? You'd probably be okay. They're made by different companies but are similar in nature. As far as actually mixing them in the same batch, you might also skate by, but I wouldn't do it. The hardeners will at least be somewhat different. Again, the mix is likely to set up, but you may find some funky quirks with such a batch.

If it's been more than about 2 or 3 days, I'd lightly scuff the undercoat with some fine Scotchbrite. If you're still within that window, just apply the new stuff right on top. Don't wash or wipe anything with any sort of solvent.
