All this talk about new grips..... well I have found the latest, greatest grip yet
Buffalo chips, or cow or horse. First find a steel rod approx. same size as your blank. Make marks where reel seat will be located, then grab a handfull of fresh material. Now the beauty of this material it will mold to any shape or form (very custom grip) when you like the shape, just pop it in the oven, set at 350 for an hour, let cool, slide off the steel rod, make final fit, epoxy, and finish it your favorite way ! Dave von Doehren PRRODS......If man built it , man can fix it.and if man built it man can break it ! Re: NEWEST grip material

Sounds like something I might try if someone will tell me how best to tint the material, LOL.

If this is a joke then I'm not sure what the point of posting it here was. And if this is serious, I'm not sure I want to try it. Re: NEWEST grip material

Some varieties make an excellent cork filler for your "favorite" customer...during the exchange they may say "I just love the rod", and the builder, may just have to grin from ear to ear and reply " thank you, I'm glad you like it". ....There's some great liquid products that make an excellent sealant on cork tape for the "favorite" customer. LOL.... just joking...really.
