Wheb adding guides, how do you know what sizes to use. Let's say you have 4 small guides from the tip. Now I want to add one. Do you add another small one or the next size up? Thanks for ant help. Did a search and could not quite find it.

Generally add another one of the same size after working out new spacings. Measure ceramic OD to find matching size.

My rule of thumb FOR EVERY FOOT OF OF ROD (BAIT CASTER) HAVE A GUIDE , pluse 2 Example a 8 foot rod should have 10 guides. 6#8, 3#10 and 1#12. This is just an example not in stone. Remember to get the correct number of guides and correct ring size do a stress test
