Tom Kirkman's book, "Rod Building Guide: Fly, Cast,Spin" is a good one. It covers all the basics and more. Re: Rod building books

There is also a Flex Coat book called Start to Finish fly rod building. It covers all the basics of building fly rods. Its very basic but only about $12 most places. Tom's book is probably better all around only costs a few dollars more. Either should get you on your way. Re: Rod building books

Tom Kirmans book will be the best $15 investment you can make!! Walks you through the entire proceedures with over 100 pix! Excellant book. It's available fro many of the vendors on the left!

Fairly new rodbuilder here. I whole heartedly agree with the above statements. Tom's book is a must have for a new Rod Builder. Another must have is the video by Flex Cote, "How we do it", comes in VHS and DVD. Bill in WV Re: Rod building books

Bill,
What kind of info?? You will get lot's of help here, but you need to be more specific with your questions! You are better off starting a new post because the only people seeing your question will be those that are interested in a post on rod building books.
