Tom Kirkman's book, "Rod Building Guide: Fly, Cast,Spin" is a good one. It covers all the basics and more.

There is also a Flex Coat book called Start to Finish fly rod building. It covers all the basics of building fly rods. Its very basic but only about $12 most places. Tom's book is probably better all around only costs a few dollars more. Either should get you on your way.

Fairly new rodbuilder here. I whole heartedly agree with the above statements. Tom's book is a must have for a new Rod Builder. Another must have is the video by Flex Cote, "How we do it", comes in VHS and DVD.

Bill,

What kind of info?? You will get lot's of help here, but you need to be more specific with your questions! You are better off starting a new post because the only people seeing your question will be those that are interested in a post on rod building books.
