good morning,
I goofed on a butt wrap that i had given a coat of permagloss. I decided to shorten the wrap, leaving an area with some dried permagloss in the pattern of the diamond wrap. I tried a little scraping, but am scared to mess up the blank. what is the best way to remove the permagloss on a matte blank? Thanks for the help! I've used isopropanol to soften it up and then scaped it off with my thumbnail. Xylene should work because it is the solvent in Permagloss, but it is not good for you so if you use it minimize contact with PG and your skin; inhalation of the vapors too. You might want to try heat from a hair drier (separately from a solvent), with thumb nail scraping. Re: removing permagloss on matte blank

I am building a custom rod. I have a fuji nps spinning reel seat, I need to swap the slide ring but cannot figure out how to seperate the slide ring from the tightening nut without damaging either part. Can anyone give me information on how to do this properly? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
