Did some searches ?? What do you guys think of the Fuji Silicon Nitrate II guides for shark , spiral wrapped, and a roller tip. Wire leader. 80-100 blank solid glass.
Thanks Re: Fuji guides for shark

I rather like the Fuji LRSG turbo guides for heavy work. For a heavy spiral, especially with a more moderate, parabolic glass rod, I would go with the heavy duty single foot boat guide LBSGs to 60#. However, if you are doing 80#+ line and tackle the All American Roller Guides @#$%& Acid Rollers and Roller tip is hard to beat! Re: Fuji guides for shark

Don't want to spiral with rollers because I have read there was a problem with the line slipping in between the roller and the frame.
The single foot LBSG's I could not put a locking wrap on it. Thinking of double foots out to a roller tip. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/11/2005 12:20PM by bill boettcher. Re: Fuji guides for shark

80-100# blank, with SIN guides - Sounds good & beefy. May want folded-frame guides LRSG-(SIC) or BLRLG (Hardloy). Or Titan Turbos. Or all (@#$%& Acid) Rollers. - IMO, -Cliff Hall+++ Re: Fuji guides for shark

Bill, I use a bumper guide(LBSG10-12, depending on the connection to leaders) on Acid wraps and no problem with the LRSG height. I also use the locking wrap on LBSGs with no problems, although you really don't need it. Re: Fuji guides for shark

BILL,
You already picked out a very good guide, Spiral / bumper wrap is great. ! If you do want a roller on the tip , use one that swivels, AFTCO I know , I fish Shark out of MORRICHES, biggerest to date has been a 175lbs Blue Shark I use PENN Formula, and TICA, Mono and Braid lines, multi strand steel leaders, TAG them and clip the leader as close as possible to hook. Dave von Doehren PRRODS......If man built it , man can fix it.and if man built it man can break it ! Re: Fuji guides for shark

The silicon nitride are good if the rod gets handled rough. The rings will take more abuse than SIC rings will. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
