Fuji ECSM trigger reel seat compatibility with ABU baitcasters

Dear all,

I intend to use a Fuji ECSM (Exposed trigger reel seat) for a rod building project to be used finally with my baitcasters, which are all ABUs, like my Mörrum SX 3600C, 3600C Ultra-Mag, and Törno 3004 HS and Törno 3006 HSI. Any objections against this specific reel seat?

What to consider/keep in mind using the mentioned one?

Thanks for all your comments.

RGDS,
Ole

i have built several bass rods using the fuji exposed reel seats...i also use abu reels...
i have not had any problems with the seats or the reels fitting in the seats...fuji products
are excellent quality...make sure you order the size to fit the blank where you intend
to mount reel seat...i have had to ream just a little on several to get the proper fit...
good luck...bryan...

I built with a MAtte REd SCM-R, which I used with a Morrum 1600SX & absolutely no problem.

Also think about the size of the seat to properly fit your hand. I build mostly popping rods and use size 16 seats. Most bass fishermen, specially the ones wanting flippin sticks, want a more substantial handle in their hands - many want a 17 and some an 18. Size the blank and the seat before you order. If you are like the rest of us you will untimately end up with a drawer full of these infernal things and still not have the one you need at the moment!
