I am building a light tackle stand up saltwater rod, an All Star IFS766-M blank, I cut it down to the right length. I needed a EVA forgrip at least 10" long and the only thing I can find has an id of 1/2", I really need one 3/8 with an od of 1.38. Since this is all I can find what is the best way to build up the blank? Masking tape, sheet rock tape? any help here guys would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Scott Re: Eva grip too large for the blank

Nylon cord, closely spiraled, to take up the space. Fully saturate with epoxy and "screw" the grip into place. The mount will be permanent.

I've used 5-minute epoxy for building up the gap on extensions, it would probably work well for this too. Re: Eva grip too large for the blank

NEal - they do make Hypalon with a 3/8ID, and they are available from tackle shops out in California. I know a lot of guys were looking for the thin ID Hypalon for the GUSA 50# blanks which are skinny like a FW Bass Flipping stick. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
