Rod blank color choices

It seems that more and more manufactures are dropping colored blanks. I like the colored blanks and wish there were more to choose from. I have yet to build on a matte or glossy matte or charcoal or black or whatever. I've seen some nice looking rods in the gray and I see the value in having the blank color being more accomodating to a vast array of thread choices. I just hope we don't see the day when every darn blank you buy is grey. Just some thoughts on the matter.

I really like white blanks, too. Blue isn't bad, but I've got a bad thing with green...
I build green rods, but I'm really challenged with them. Black and white, throw in a few blue for me!!

Tom,
Have you seen the CTS site? Look in the sponsors area.

I have seen the cts balnks but how much are they? Either I missed the prices or they are not there. They do have some great blank colors though.

I've been having pretty good success with painting blanks. Just finished turning a gray blank on my little girls rod to pink. I did one in red for my wife, and am going to start a purple one for my other daughter and also a purple one for a customer. Krylon fusion spray paint works great. Some Auto body paints work well too...I spray spar urethane over the color as a clear coat...works just fine so far....Basically you can buy any blank you want, and have it any color you can find the paint for.....
