I have a request for a crappie rod 9 to 91/2 ft long. I don't know anything about crappie fishing. I think a fly rod blank might work. A very light spinning reel will be used on it. If anyone could maybe suggest a blank for me I would appreciate it. thanks Re: crappie rod

A fly blank will work very nicely. I'm slowly working on a forecast 8'6" 6 wt as a spinning setup just for crappie for myself. I put an UL spin reel on my 5 wt fly rod and it was pretty good though a hair on the whippy side for my taste. As for a blank, there are a lot of nice ones out there. Depends what you are looking for and how much you want to spend. Re: crappie rod

Might look at the IST 1081 Cascade Composite at Mudhole. Re: crappie rod
