I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth. The nice thing about rod building these days is that no matter what you want, if you can hang on a few weeks you just know that somebody is going to be blowing it out on sale for next to nothing. It's a buyers market. Re: \"HUGE\" Rainshadow & Forecast Blank SALE

The consumer is in the drivers seat. Not a bad thing. I don\'t think I\'ve paid anywhere close to full price for a rod blank in over three years now. Hard to complain! Re: "HUGE" Rainshadow & Forecast Blank SALE

probably bad for the vendors i imagine, which is bad for the rodbuilding community if i've interpreted recent discussions of backorders and some closures correctly.

There's always more than one way to look at this - for those who have bought and used these models and really like them, they're worth more now than ever. Better to stock up and have those models that you think you'll want or need in the future, than to be disapppointed later. I know of some blanks that are no longer made that I really wish I had bought a few extras of and put them back. I'd gladly pay more for them now than their retail when they were available.
