Date: October 23, 2005 11:57AM Tom- I apologize if this is the wrong place to post this question, but my son and new wife are in Cancun. We have managed to speak with them a couple of times, and they want out! I have been trying to find out if I can drive to Cancun and retrieve my children. Does anyone have any experience traveling through Mexico? Is this a foolish thought? If anyone has any info, thoughts or suggestions, please feel free to email me. I will have my computer on for the day and will be looking at this regularily. If I have broken any rules, I apologize. I am simply a worried father who wants to get his children home. Thank you. Driving there is out of the question. The Yucatan is a low lying area full of trees and other vegetation, a jungle in other words. The roads to Cancun are out according to the news media. The best thing to do is to get in touch with your representative or a consular official here in the states and explain your situation. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
