i have a 7' medium action 6-12 lbs rod that i need to put 7 guides on does anyone have the measurements from the tip top for placement

Instead of looking for measurements have you tried doing the spacing yourself?
For a spinning rod I gen. go by placing the stripper 19 inches from the top of the spool and the first guide 4 inches from the tip.
From there work out the numbers yourself with the rod loaded with mono watching for the curve of the line and having some degree of a pattern in increased guide placement lenght. ie 4, 4 1/2,5, 6 etc.. then stand back and eyeball how it looks astectically.
remeber each rods action is different therefore guide placement should be differently spaced on different actions and rods

I think St. Croix has their factory spacings listed on their website, you'd have to look and see.

I agree with the others here that if you're going to be in the business of building and/or selling custom rods you really need to learn how to do these spacings yourself. Doing so would provide you with two outstanding benefits - first, you'd never have to worry about looking for and finding somebody else's guide spacing measurements as you're doing now, and second, you can create guide spacing and sizing which is superior to most of that used by the commercial rod manufacturers.

You could use a factory chart --- but you will get better performance and less blank breakage if you use the artical in the libarary page. Try it it's easy. Also if the customer wants 7 guides on it, I would not guarantee it on breakage. That blank may take about 9 guides ??

st croix also recommends 7 guides and i looked on the spacing and i was close to right with my spacing, thanks for the advice

I should have been more clear, I start at 19 and once worked out I do test cast it and eyeball how the line comes off the spool to the stripper.
If I would have to move it more than a inch or so from there, I would bump up my stripper size as opposed to cramming the guides closer to the tip.
