Has anyone tried the new Pac Bay Quad Dryer? Any comments on it? Who carries them? Thanks, Marc. Re: Pac Bay Quad Dryer

Hi Marc,
We have used it and it's nice. The only complaint I have is that I think the motors are to slow of rpm, but then I wouldn't use this Quad dryer for applying coating just for transfering over from my faster drying motor. I am a supplier of these Neal's Fishing Products Re: Pac Bay Quad Dryer

Thanks Neal. Are you saying that it's too slow for applying, but a good RPM for turning while the finish is curing? Thanks. Re: Pac Bay Quad Dryer

Hey Marc,
i have several of the old single Pac Bay dryers and i now have one of the newer quad dryers, had it for a couple of months now. The old singles used more metal in the chuck jaws, etc. the quad dryer is almost all plastic. Having said that, i bought the quad for space saving so I could dry 6 rods now in the same space I could dry 3 before. In that sense it works fine. I do have to wrap some tape around the outside of the chucks so some types of rods don't work themselves free and fall out. But then I had to do the same with the single dryers made of metal in the past. For the price, I thought they were worth it. And yes, i use them for drying only, Buzz Butters B & B Custom Rods Ripon, WI Re: Pac Bay Quad Dryer

Why not think about building one and putting it say on the wall. This way you can upgrade it so rods don't fall out. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
