Hooray for PacBay! - single rod dryer problem solved

I too was having the "corkscrewing" problem with my single rod dryer and I called PacBay today and they agreed to replace it. I'll let you know how the next one works. This is the second time I have used their customer service and they are a great company to work with. I was impressed! Congrats PacBay, and thank you!

Did they indicate that they know what the problem is?

I had some success with mine last night buy putting a bunch of rubberbabds on the butt of teh rod before I put it into the chuck.
Since the chuck tabs are rubber lined, I figured that rubber on rubber would be more "grippy."

It seemed to work. 5 hours with no corkscrew.

They said that the alignment of the motor might be off, but they did acknowledge a problem. The rubber bands sound like a good idea.
