nylon butts

I got a request to build a match set of four stand up tuna rods. The customer wants them on Calstar 6465XH blanks. He also wants them to have a nylon butt. I am having trouble finding one to fit the blanks. The butt OD for the blank is 1.15 in. The largest ID butt I have found is 1.06 in. Is there a butt that has a larger ID that I just haven't found. If so where can I get it.
If not could I drill or bore a smaller one out to fit. I have done this with an exposed casting reel seat. It wasn't much, but it worked.

Tight lines.

On a Left coast board i read a post about a similar problem, their answer seemed to be that you can grind or sand the butt of the blank to fit, if you do not have to remove too much.(only remove the FINISH do not get into the Fiber! ) Get a sanding drum and hog out the inside of the Sleeve
