I would like to use a tack rag on the wrap to suck up any fizzies etc. Has anyone had a problem using finish over the wrap after using the tack rag?
thanks Re: tack rags and epoxy finish

Don't rub the tack cloth back and forth on the blank or threads, just dab it straight up and down. Good luck, Ed Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 10/08/2005 08:26PM by Ed Grella. Re: tack rags and epoxy finish

Ditch the tack rag. You don't need it. Take a piece of Scotch tape and double it back so the sticky side is out. Dab the wraps with it and it'll pick up any lint or dust without leaving anything behind. Re: tack rags and epoxy finish

Hi John: I, like Mike use tape. However I use the blue masking tape (haven't ever tried Scotch tape) with no problems.
Best regards, Pat Doyle Re: tack rags and epoxy finish

Just be sure the tape does not pull out your trim bands. Ed Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
