i am wanting to install the decal that came with the blank on the woven graphite portion of the reel seat.i was wondering if anyone had any luck with coating over a decal on that part.also what may be used over a decal that would be tough enough to take the abuse of installing and removing a reel foot. i just hate looking at such a long eyesore over such a perty rod blank. CP the decal at least two coats. Let dry well.
Then coat with permagloss on a turner. Re: my decal question

thanks you. i did a search and read some info on this stuff but read nothing about reel seat woven graphite.today i tried some krylon workable fixatif over a sample hand writen jel pen decal.after it dried it won't wipe off or smear.i havn't tried it over a blank with permagloss yet..i need to get some permagloss first..i wish i could go to the corner store and buy some real quick.i am worried that flex coat will be to thick for function of the hood and too soft for under the reel foot or i would just go for it. Theirs nothing that says you havew to put the decal that came with the rod on! I have never put a manufacturer's decal on the blank. I have a nice Decal made by Decal Connection with the person's name and rod specifics (not blank name) on it Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
