A friend wants to know what he should to use to write an inscription on a blank if it is going to be finished with Perma-gloss. Does he need to put Krylon over it to keep it from smearing? I have never used Perma-gloss in that way. Re: Permagloss and inscriptions

Maybe this will help Permagloss is very hot. You will have to seal it with some thing, Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 09/15/2005 03:35PM by bill boettcher. Re: Permagloss and inscriptions

That was my original reason for buying Permagloss; I wanted a way to quickly do the finish over inscriptions. I couldn' t perfect getting a nice, even finish in an open blank area with it.
I did use Krylon, too, just to be sure. I didn't know if it needed it or not; it just smelled real solventy to me and I thought I'd best make sure I didn't have problems with it running the ink. Putter Williston, ND Re: Permagloss and inscriptions

I had ink on a G Loomis decal run when I put Permagloss on it, with no fixative. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
