NEED HELP ! Flimsy Jigging Rod - Record Catcher

RODBUILDERS:

Question first, read the background if you want to go further.

Were can I get a one piece 7' "flimsy" action fiberglass spinning rod, similar to an Ugly Stic ?

A customer inquired me on the phone about building him a 1-pc 7' spinning rod used for boat jigging with a Penn650, Line 10-12, 1/2 - 3/4 oz. yellow jigs. No problem, I thought, being myself a 6-8-10#line beach jigger and light tackle addict. So we had a chat and arranged a visit to his club where I would show him some built rods from my stash, blanks/guides and other components.
Well, he found all my rods and blanks TOO STIFF, he did not like the samples of Titans, Fuji Titanium, Alconites and other guides that I normally recommend and use around here. When he pulled the rods with which he has caught IGFA records around the Island, and uses for his routine fishing outings, I was shocked. All of them were custom built many years ago, but they were in fairly good conditions, and "fishing plentifully" according to the customer

Here is the description of the rods
•7' [Ugly Stik type] blank, extremely flimsy action and most of the power toward the butt after the tip bent WAY past the 90 degrees(you would jig it up and down and the rod moved in all possible directions) and you could bend the rod from tip to butt. THIS IS THE FIRST KEY CHARACTERISTIC THE CUSTOMER IS LOOKING FOR ON THE ROD
•Non plated stainless steel wire frame guides arranged in cone of flight format with a ~70 stripper and going down conically towards the tip THIS IS THE SECOND KEY REQUIREMENT THE CUSTOMER IS LOOKING FOR ON THE ROD.

The rod was heavy, but it did not seem to bother or fatigue the owner, since he uses a hip pad or a small fishing belt as the pivot for his jigging style
That is what the customer wants and I will give it a shot with your help.
Thanks in advance.

Ricardo,
I have aquired Ugly-Stik rod blanks from Custom Tackle Supply. They are listed on the left side of this page.
Try them and the other sponsors and you might be able to find the guides you are looking for.

Good Luck!

The batson Forecast E-glass blanks are very soft tipped. 2004 on up. Inexpensive.

LAmi MB963M might be what you're looking for, although I've never built or used it. It's a popular rod here cut from teh tip a little for False Albacore with 1oz DEadly Dicks. Might be right uncut, I do not know.

I think you might do well to try an 8" solid fiberglass CB antenna. Cut it to length and build it out. I've built a couple of these rods as light surf with detachable handles and love the way they play a fish.
