I'm building my second rod. this time I chose to use perma gloss instead of high build flex coat epoxy. I used a paint pen to write on the blank and when I put the perma gloss on to coat it the paint ran. Should I have known not to use a paint pen with perma gloss or do I need to do something else or is this a just a flook? Thanks for the help.

Joe, Permagloss is pretty hot and will destroy a lot of paint finishes. You need to apply a couple coats of CP over your inscription prior to covering with permagloss Regards......Doug@ TCRds Re: Perma gloss and paint pens

Thanks Doug,
I used CP on the wraps but didn't think to put it on the inscription. Re: Perma gloss and paint pens

A couple of sprays of Krylon fixative will also protect the inscription. Re: Perma gloss and paint pens
