I use two or three and then a coat of Permagloss. I allow an overnight dry time for all three before putting on the finish coats of Flex Coat.

I use 811S, and have had mixed results wit the amoun tof coats & teh consitancy of the CP. 811 should be thin, almost watery, and you should apply 2 coats. The second coat is a "just in case" for teh first coat. I've applied 1 coat of 811 to a few wraps, and have had great results, yet once the CP thickened and I tried the 1coat trick - I ended up with a couple of 5 hour in teh toilet cut off wraps.

If you search on Maderia & CP, I'm sure the threads will pop up.

I've been using Flexcoat CP and usually put two coats on and haven't had any major bleed throughs yet.

Jim - use the search on this, as CP was not the sole reason for CP no working. THE threads stretch more than Gudebrod, making them thinner when you wrap them, so packing tightly is very important in getting consistant color. It always is impoirtant, but especailly with the Polyester threads.
