OK...The particulars first.
Dan Craft FT 9 ft 4 pc 7 wt. Just finished two days ago.
Green synthetic insert on the Forecast reel seat.
Forecast ceramic guides......A 12, 10, a couple of 8's and then 7's.
Forest green wraps with metallic copper 3 wrap trim. One trim wrap in the middle of the guide wraps, two trim wraps on the ferrules.
Flex coat lite......4 or 5 thin coats (depending on the wrap)
In a word.... "Wow"
....Another grand slam for Dan!
Cast it in the yard tonight. Very effortless and very forgiving. Easy to stretch out line, even for me.
Almost all the "bend" was in the upper third but it seemed very well matched to my seven weight line.
Two Thumbs way up!
My favorite trout rod is my 8'4 4 wt Sig. V (off the planet good)......And I'm sure this is going to be my steelie rod!
Another incredible Dan Craft blank...go figure?
