I received Andy's DVD "The Wood Lathe in Rodbuilding" Friday. I watched it, then watched it again. I've owned and used a Jet Mini Lathe for several years now and took the free class that was offered with it. I've read or watched all that the Birmingham Library has on lathes & lathework. Even on the parts I thought I already knew something about, Andy showed me something new. If you have or want a lathe for rodbuilding chores, you need this DVD. Ralph If at first you don't succeed, go fishing, then try, try again. Re: Andy Dear's DVD

I agree. I ordered Andy's DVD the same time I ordered my lathe. I'd have been lost without the DVD. I've watched it several times and everytime I watch it I get something new that I'd missed. It's Well worth the money. Re: Andy Dear's DVD

I would recommend the dvd to all lathe users also. Great sound/photo quality and very informative. I really enjoyed watching the cork-grip assembly/turning which added that extra bit of confidence when doing my own work. Excellent job Andy! Re: Andy Dear's DVD

I have heard from a good source that Andy has found it necessary to retain legal assistance for Charlotte due to potential of environmental damages due to the amount of wood fibers that cloud the air in the Convention Center during his scheduled demonstration. Damages incurred during last years show left a long lasting scar on his otherwise smiling face!
