I am getting set to build a Lami 132-2M and want to use a set of LR's on this rod. The set I have contains a 20,16,12,10,10,8,8. The problem I have run into is the smallest tip (size 12 tube) has a 10mm ring. Would you guys recommend using a ring size 10mm tip with the last guide being an 8mm ring or would it be any problem to run size 10 guides all the way out. Thanks in advance for the advice.
Thanks, Ron Re: Fuji Lowriders

What type and size line are you using? Are you using shock-leaders (?) and if so what pound test are they? Heavy shock-leaders usually warrant upsizing the running guides and tops.

I will using braid only for this setup with no shock leader. Worst case I will simply use a bait leader that may only be a couple of feet long. Re: Fuji Lowriders

Then I would probably use the 10mm running guides with a size 10 top. Re: Fuji Lowriders

I agree with Brett and Billy I would drop the 8 and finish with all 10's,then in the future if you use leader the knots will not hang up when casting Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
