Anyone know the thread color that St. Croix uses on the Legend Tounament SC IV poles? Any other suggestions of colors that look classy on this blank?

Hi:

One that looks classy and is a CLASSIC, is BLACK!
Also used teal, and gray in different shades ... like them all.

Tight wraps!

I believe it's gudebrod cobalt blue (50) nylon without CP, trimmed in either pewter or gunmetal. I built one for my wife with gudebrod purple (468) nylon trimmed in pearl metallic with CP. It looks pretty sharp. The pearl trim ties in her Stradic reel pretty well

I've only built a few of these so far but colors that have worked well include Dark Blue (Gudebrod #246) or Garnet (Gudebrod #206). I've used both of these without color preserver and trimmed with either Pearl (#9003) or Silver (#9002). All look great.

I know flex coat makes an iridescent finish, and I've seen glitter from mudhole catalog. Sure it look nice if you use just a small amount.....kind of a pearlescent l

Chuckles, you can find it at Michael's craft store just make sure you get the extra fine stuff or your finish will be bumpy.
