i'm about to coat my wraps with flex coat high build. i usually do two thin coats, rather than one thick coat. in the past i've always done one quote, waited about an hour, and then applied the second. i read somewhere that this makes them cure together, and you get a better bond. is this fact or fiction? do you all let the first coat fully cure, and then apply the second, or do you do the first coat, and then apply the second coat shortly after the first?
thanks. Re: Flex coat High Build

Hi Joe
I have used FC high build for years and I usually let it cure all the way. It seems to bond just fine for me. Re: Flex coat High Build

I use Flex Coat high build all the time and even in South Louisiana the finish has never cured hard enough in one hour to be able to put on a second coat. Normally I can put a second coat in four to six hours. Usually within 48 hours a second coat will "weld" itself to the first coat. After 48 hours I usually lightly scuff the wrap with a scotchbrite pad for a better bond.
