Rod Bond and cork

When glueing cork grips do you apply rod bond to just one face of the cork piece or to both opposing faces?

Thanks
Tom

Both faces, and then scrape off all that you've just put on. You read that correctly - apply the RodBond, then with the edge of a popsycle stick or similar, scrape off as much as you can. Then slide the rings on the mandrel and clamp. This resulsts in a great bond with the slightest possible (almost invisible) glue line.

I've been using a single edged razor blade both to apply the Rod Bond and to scrape it off; this really works well for me.
