Eddie, Taking my favorite float tube/wading rod, a 7 1/2 ft. 4 wt., I started with an 8 in. cork & ring grip and added 4 in. of cork rings to the center. This makes putting the fly reel at the rear of the grip, or a spinning reel where you want. For guides, I suggest Fuji Alconite. B/CYAG for the butt/stripping guide and to the choke guide, a B/CLAG #6 and #6's to the tip. I place the butt guide where it fits the flyfisher using the rod, The Fuji Concept System for the other guides to the choke guide, then The Static Guide Placement to position the rest of the guides. I hope this helps. Ralph If at first you don't succeed, go fishing, then try, try again. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
