I'm looking for a 7' 1PC blank with a little flex in the tip for 8-15 line
Guy is putting on a 14" butt handle, has a reason for it.
Would be nice to have some color on it.
For a spinning rod. There are so many blanks I had to ask for suggestions.
He already has G Loomis so I was looking at the St Croix SCIV 4S70
It is rated as a mod-action medium and medium heavy power. Nice color.

Am wondering how the tip is on this Any one use them, softer tip ???

Or any suggestions ??

Rainshadow IP843. Get the green if you want something besides matte gray.

I was just looking at that blank. Love there hard green color. Plus it's a mod-fast action, must have missed it before?
Like when two minds think the same thing. I'll do a little more looking but that seems to be the one
I find picking the right blank to be the hardest thing. Always let my " gutt " tell me, then of course this board.

I use that blank in both colors all the time and it makes a nice rod. I use the rainshadow IP842, 843, and 844 popping blanks for inshore trout/redfish/flounder rods down here on the Gulf Coast. Even my own rods are made on these blanks. I personally don't think a better value and quality can be found in a blank.

I also am finding the Rainshadow has a mod-fast tip with a med-light power
But a St Croix SCIII 3C70 mm has a mod-action with a med-power.
The guy has one arm off a little above the elbow and the St Croix is a little lighter. May work better for him.
